Dr Matthew Schmerl
Dr Matthew Schmerl

Dr Matthew Schmerl began his career in 2000 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Anatomy from the University of Queensland. During this time he was awarded the Deans’ Award for Academic Excellence, reserved to those with a perfect GPA. In 2003, Dr Schmerl graduated in the top 5% with a Master of Chiropractic degree from Macquarie University, Sydney.

Professionally Dr Schmerl has published two peer reviewed research papers. In October 2005, Dr Schmerl published an article on hip injuries in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics. This Journal is the world’s most prestigious chiropractic publication. This makes Matt one of only a few chiropractors in the world to hold such an accomplishment. Dr Schmerl is passionate about drug free, natural and safe chiropractic care in the management of babies, kids, adolescents, adults, elderly and elite athletes.

Personally Matt enjoys keeping fit through gym, running and swimming. He has a passion for Snowboarding and regularly heads to the slopes. He also enjoys travelling and hopes over the next couple of years to trek the Himalayas.

Dr Christopher Scott
Dr Christopher Scott

My name is Dr Christopher Scott and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science at the University of Queensland, majoring in Biomedical Sciences 2002, followed by a Masters in Chiropractic from Macquarie University in 2006.

The decision to pursue a profession in Chiropractic did not present itself until the end of my biomedical science degree when I was introduced to chiropractic and its philosophy. The concept of health, wellness and the old adage ‘prevention is better than the cure’ was new to me. After attending a chiropractor for headaches and neck/ shoulder pain and then learning about how to be healthy, I began to understand its importance. Health is so important, and the life styles we live today along with allopathic medicine, do not focus on maximising it. It was from then that I decided to commit my time to the pursuit of health.

I have travelled over to Scotland with the mission ‘of providing a means and direction for each individual to challenge their current health goals so that they can reach towards a new level of health and understanding through natural chiropractic care’.
